Election 2010: Your community, your state and your country
Kaladi Brothers Coffee Company is proud to have teamed up with the Alaska League of Women Voters Youth Vote 2010 to engage Anchorage's youth in the democratic process. Youth Vote will host a debate, Meet and Greet with the candidates and will hold a mock election. The candidate debate is tentatively set Monday, October 18, 2010 from noon -1 p.m. at West High School. Please check back for updates on the Meet and Greet and for stories on Youth Vote participants. Below is a snapshot of the Meet and Greet we hosted for the election in 2008.
Meet and Greet:

Students from South, West, Bartlett, Eagle River High School, Chugiak and Stellar packed into Kaladi Brother's downtown cafe to learn more about candidates running for office.
"Youth have a definite voice in every election. It is organizations like Kaladi Brothers, Youth Vote and the League of Women Voters that really encourage youth to take their principles and understand what is happening today," said John Derfan Harris who is a junior at West High School. "Having a voice can never come with an age limit."
