Kaladi Brothers Coffee TweetupThe cause at Kaladi Brothers Coffee is to be a Catalyst for Community.
This includes contributing time and resources to the community where we participate.

Kaladi Brothers Coffee discovered conversations about community were happening every day on Twitter, so we decided to jump in. Chief Operating Officer Dale Tran is the man behind the tweets for Kaladi Brothers Coffee (others in the office have tweeting power as well, but Dale is the official Designated Tweeter). Twitter has provided Kaladi Brothers Coffee with the opportunity to participate and promote many grassroots community events. We were proud to be a part of Tasty Tweets earlier this summer. The event raised $3,500 for Ryan Stanley (@freeryan), a Juneau man who lost his home to fire.
Tweetup Sign In Sheet

Kaladi Brothers Coffee hosted its first Tweetup, an event where people from the virtual world of Twitter can meet face-to-face. Nearly 30 people from Anchorage's local Twitter community showed up for sandwiches and coffee at the Kaladi Brothers Coffee Downtown Cafe. Everyone who sighed in at the Tweetup (sheet on the right) agreed to be a Catalyst For Community and to Learn the Kaladi Difference.

A special thanks to Alaska Tweets for helping to promote the event and to the local Twitter community for being so amazing. The photo above was taken by Oscar Avellaneda, www.avephoto.com. Thanks Oscar! If you missed the event, don't worry we will be hosting more. For now, here is some video of Dale giving away door prizes during the Tweetup:
